Our overseas correspondent

I know that I just sent a beast of an email the other day, but I had the best day yesterday and have to tell the world about it!!! I got on my bus to the Blue Mountains at 8am which wasn't the most pleasant experience of my life. However, things just went uphill from then.

We headed to a wildlife park and as soon as we got off the bus we got to hold a tiny little baby joey!!! Then we went in to the park and the kangaroos were allowed to run wild and were jumping past you. I even got to feed one an ice-cream cone filled with Kangaroo food!!! It held my hand as I fed it, it was so cool!!! Then we went into the koala sanctury where I stroked a koala. Saw some more wildlife like wombats and dingoes and Tasmanian Devils and Crocodiles which were equally as cool, but I didn't get to touch them.

Then we went to the Blue Mountains and saw then three sisters and various waterfalls. We then walked right down to the bottom of the valley (which was a bit of a killer) and got the steepest railway in the world back up.

The excitment doesn't end there. As we were getting back on the bus the weather suddenly changed and I experienced the most spectacular thunder-storm I've ever seen. We then went to the Olympic Park and wondered about the grounds and into the swimming pool, but not the main stadium as it was the start of football season.

All in all, I had a great time and now must go and head to the beach for some relaxation.

Love and hugs

Lorna xxxx
