6. Carmen and Voldemort
This is both a warning and a plea. After the rehearsal on Sunday, I feel I must inform you that the Dark Lord has risen once again. If you do not do both of the following things over the Christmas break, he will hunt you down with his big ginger slipper:
a. Sell tickets! I believe we're on less than 100, and we need to get to 1200 before 25th January! By my calculations this is a little under 30 tickets for each of us, which doesn't sound too impossible at all. And if you don't know 30 people, you can always buy a charity ticket and know that you will be giving something to a good cause too. If you ever need to contact Lorna she can be reached by email on
tickets@ceciliansociety.co.uk .
b. Sing to your cat. If you don't have a cat, sing in the shower. If you don't have showers, eeew. As the production team have said, we need to keep up the level that we're at just now. If we come back after Christmas having had too much mulled wine and forgotten the show entirely, that will be no use whatsoever. Notes for the chorus are on the forum -
http://www.ceciliansociety.co.uk/forum/forum - so please read if you haven't already and do what we need to do.
The first full rehearsal back after Christmas will be as usual on Thursday 15th January 2009, and the observant among you will know that it will of course be entitled Escamillo and the Order of the Budgie.
