1) I hear a rumour the Dinner Dance is on Saturday 10th May - is this officially correct?

2) What is happening about the Weekend Away? Do the drivers get any petrol money, or are we just required to pay twice for our attendance?

3) Do we know when the AGM is?

4) Pubbage this Thursday*?

5) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Which it can't.)

G.

*not solely for committe types

I think an email about this should be out now/soon.
2) What is happening about the Weekend Away? Do the drivers get any petrol money, or are we just required to pay twice for our attendance?
This will be brought up at next meeting; the petrol cost was considered.
3) Do we know when the AGM is?
There should be an email about this out now/soon.
4) Pubbage this Thursday*?
In the GUU beer bar to use the GUU cards.
5) How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Which it can't.)
Depends on what wood would a woodchuck chuck.

Gregor, in answer to your question:

http://www.getodd.com/stuf/stupid/woodchuck.html

I'm not going to the pub, as I have to work. Rubbish. Saying that, I would be at the primary/uisge beatha if I was going.

I'm going to attempt some constructive expansion - it may not work; we shall see...

1) I know it's important for people's diaries etc, so don't consider this set in concrete, but the Dinner Dance has been provisionally booked for 10th May. Stuff like menus etc still has to be sorted, so we don't have prices or anything yet. Watch this space!

3) Similarly, the AGM has been provisionally set for 15th May,the Thursday after the Dinner Dance, by which time we may have recovered. Like 1), don't consider this official, as it has to be announced properly before nominations can open, etc, etc, blah blah blah

4) I say yay for pubbage, but only if we have a united Cecilian front! Pros of Beer Bar are that we get money if you all remember to use cards. Pros of elsewhere are that we get a seat. All vote now; I shall be a very unhappy bunny if we all end up in different places again.

5) I always thought it would be five logs and two small twigs. What is more relevant is where it would be chucking it?

Muchos love,
Ben

5.) A woodchuck can chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood.

But if a woodchuck could and would chuck wood then how much wood would a woodchuck chuck?

Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood and even if a woodchuck would chuck wood, SHOULD a woodchuck chuck wood?

XxX

Everyone knows that a woodchuck would chuck as much as he could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

quite clearly the GU is a far superior place to drink!!!
it's cheap and you don't have to wait for half an hour to be served!
plus we can use our cards and make some money for the society! hurrah!

5) The woodchuck wouldn't chuck wood. It would be far too busy sitting in the beer bar, grumbling about how the primary would be a far better choice.
Incidentally this also appears to be my plan for thursday night, unless a splinter (haha - geddit?) group decides to go elsewhere....

Oh, and could someone please decide about the dinner dance asap - I need to book a flight back and will not be a happy bunny if it becomes too expensive. Or you will be unhappy bunnies because I won't be there :P . Either way.
