Hey guys

Your friendly neighbourhood social convenor here. Apologies for the lateness of this message. Just wanted to give you some info on the upcoming weekend away. It's gonna be at the Pottery Bunkhouse in Laggan Bridge. It's got a hot tub.

Ok, so a few things.

It's next weekend. The 14th to the 16th.

I can't really take your money I'm afraid cos I sadly can't come. So if your interested in going contact Cat Mac on 07988907149 and you can arrange to drop off the money which goes towards buying food and petrol.

The payment for the weekend is 40 pounds, don't worry it's worth every penny.

CARS. Does anyone have a car? We need them and any help with transport would be great as we can't have a minibus this year.

Everyone is meeting outside the medic building (the big glass one) on uni avenue at 5 on friday. If you want to go be there. But obviously arrange to give Cat the money first.

We can only sleep 34 so if you want to come please let Cat know asap.

Bring sleeping bags.

We can only sleep 34 so if you want to come please let Cat know asap.

Bring booze. Lots of booze.

Think thats about everything. Have a blast gang. Hope it lives up to the epic proportions of previous years!

Josh hugs

So...the £40 doesn't include the £4 it costs for linen, then? Did we not pay less than that before including the bedding?

That must be a sh!tload of food we're getting if that's the case.

I'll lend you the cash if you're struggling. Just pay me back this time!

But Andy, you promised me I could repay you with my love. Does that night in the Qudos DJ box mean nothing to you?

Besides, the Rev and the Rabbi have Saturday night FUN to organise. I don't have time to worry about finding sleeping bags. I'm too busy putting my evil genius to work. (She's currently doing her day job, but you know what I mean....)

Does anyone who went last time remember whether we need to bring pillows as well as sleeping bags? If we do I'm really not going to have much space for alcohol :-(

Alternatively, I could bring *so much* alcohol that I don't notice the absence of pillow...

So, anyone know the answer? The people who went last time obviously won't, as we had pillows and duvets a-plenty handed to us on a metaphorical plate.

G.

ps. Sarah Daly, how the hell do you manage to join the Pottery Bunkhouse appreciation group on Facebook when you haven't even been there yet? It might be shit for all you know.

pps. My work computer is a fraction spazzy or I would have written this on your wall, natch.

ppps. Can't believe I just used the word "natch". I shall be taking a penalty drink for that one on the Weekend Away.

Having fretted about this for days, I eventually used my initiative, picked up the phone and asked them....

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING PILLOWS PEOPLE

I hope I've made all your days by imparting this vital piece of knowledge

I have been informed that the place we're going is/is next to the town that they used in Monarch of the Glen!!?? How is it that I have spoken to several people who were there last time and this hasn't been mentioned!! It is very exciting!!

I can only explain to you all how exciting this is to me by telling you that I once recognized a man working in a shop in Byres Rd as having once had one line in one episode of Monarch of the Glen.
