Due to a highly divisive discussion initiated in Selkirk with the Christmas Choir, and my new love of forum polls given the one on the Christmas event, I have decided to settle this question once and for all, by garnering the views of everyone I can... well, everyone Cecilian anyway. Think carefully - this is important.

I remain unbiased throughout. All I have to say is that there ain't no party like an... no, scratch that.

I bought my flatmate S Club 7's greatest hits for her birthday this year. Yup we're that cool. The more controversial issue really is what does the S stand for? I'm pretty sure it's actually 7...

At the time, Steps. Looking back, S Club was definitely the superior franchise...

S Club 7 at the time, totally Steps now. Their lyrics are too emotional for me these days. Seriously.

hmmm.

for the NUMBER of songs i reckon i could play on a friday night i think steps would take it:

steps:
deeper shade of blue
after the love has gone
better the devil you know
tragedy
better best forgotten
one for sorrow
last thing on my mind
love's got a hold on my heart
5,6,7,8

though two of those were done better by kylie minogue and the bee gees respectively.

vs maybe

s club 7:
don't stop movin'
bring it all back
s club party
reach

contentious perhaps but i think that last one clinches it for s club 7 - well if hands in the air at cheesy pop is any measure, anyhow :D
