Lovely, lovely caffeine, you are my friend.
Lovely, lovely caffeine, I hope you never end.
You wake me in the morning;
You keep me going 'til bed;
And after 12 hours of auditions, you bring order to my head.
A latte or espresso,
Or just plain Nescafe
It doesn't matter where you're from
But come on down my way.
You make me do things FASTER
Or so it seems to me
And that is why I love you, for you bring me energy.
But as I sit at work now
Waiting for rehearsal time
You're what gets me through to Thursday, O coffee cup of mine.

Aww Gregor, that's beautiful. Biggart Baillie really get their money's worth from you don't they?

I'll award a prize for the best poem with the title "Ode to Slutty Gypsies"

I don't have a sluuty gypsy one but I did write this...

Ode to an Elegant Hat

How I envy you, O elegant hat
And how your ribbon matches with Escamillo’s cravat
How I wish my head you would crown
So I could be the most elegant in town.

Carmen may give Don Jose a private dance
But against the elegant hat he doesn’t stand a chance
And Carmen is not the real reason Escamillo and Jose had a spat
Don Jose was just jealous of the elegant hat.

Ode to slutty gypsies

Long long ago
so long ago I hardly know when
my great great grandmother now and then
stepped out with a gypsy...

Oh, no, that's been done hasn't it?

How about:

Ode to slutty gypsies

How I long
To feel the strong
hand of a gypsy lady

Your shoulders show
and your legs bow
from riding too many horses

You dance for me
and I feel free
of the pressures of daily life

My loins you heat
until I'm right (pronounce 'reet')
turned on and horny, lass

For you this ode
has long been owed
along with £50 for the dances

E.
