Sorry, rather later than I intended, here is the boys audition dance walkthrough. The girls one will follow shortly. I attempted to attach it as a file but it said 'the extension doc is not allowed'. I have no idea what an extension doc is so I've just cut and paste it onto this msg. I think it still makes sense. If anyone has any questions I tend to be on the internet ALL THE TIME so just reply to this msg or whatever.

CARMEN AUDITION WALKTHROUGH
(boys)

Dancing begins 16 counts in (when the singing starts)(although it doesn’t really matter that much, if you think you’ve started at the wrong moment just carry on).

- 5 counts (right arm in front, left behind)
-Step forwards on right leg on tiptoes
-Bring left foot to meet right on tiptoes
-Bend down
-Stamp right foot
-Stamp left foot
- Repeat (change to left arm in front this time OR, if it’s easier, keep right arm in front)
- Slide to left (right arm in front, left arm behind) and 4 stamps starting with right foot
- Slide to right (left arm in front, left arm behind) and 4 stamps starting with left foot
- 5 counts (arms behind back)
-Step on left leg, crossing it in front of right
-Bring right foot to meet back of left foot
-Step back on right foot
-Bring left foot in to meet front of right foot
-Bring left foot round to place behind right foot
- Face left (arms still behind back). Step forward onto left leg (crossing it over right) whilst bending down.
- Step on left leg whilst straightening up
- Take the same two steps again (left, right) but finish with both legs bent (still facing the right)
- Walk round to your left, taking 4 steps that start with your right foot. Clap on the beats between the steps ending with two claps. Finish facing front again.
- Slide back facing left (right arm in front, left behind) and stamp twice.

Notes -
Whenever you have your hands on your hips try to hold them in a fist.

Remember, as Swayze says, it’s not just about doing the steps, feeel the music! Although, having said that, it is, in fact, largely about doing the steps.

- 2 Hip swings to right and two to the left
- Slide to left and 4 stamps starting with right foot (right arm in front, left behind)
- Skirt swishing step starting with left foot crossing over right.
- 5 counts (arms behind back)
-Step on left leg, crossing it in front of right
-Bring right foot to meet back of left foot
-Step back on right foot
-Bring left foot in to meet front of right foot
-Bring left foot round to place behind right foot
- Face right . Step forward onto right leg (crossing it over left) whilst bending down.
- Step on right leg whilst straightening up
- Take the same two steps again (right, left) but finish with both legs bent (still facing the right)
- 2 slides back (facing right), bringing right (back) arm up
- One turn to right (ending facing front)
- Pose (left leg propped in front?


Notes -
Whenever you have your hands on your hips, unless otherwise instructed, hold them in a fist.

p.s. The music for the dance audition is the same as the Escamillo audition song so if you want to practice with the music you can use the same file that gregor posted on his thread. It's the one with 'torreador' in the address.
