Feeling lost inside after show week? Never fear, the Cecilian social calendar does not end for months yet! Check out the details on all our upcoming events below.
Wednesday 23rd March, 8pm: Video Night
It’s self-explanatory! Come to the TV Room on the Third Floor of the QMU for some nostalgia as well as some Weekend Away excitement.
Thursday 17th March, 7pm: Post-Mortem
Ok, so it’s not technically a social event, but it’s an event nonetheless! If you would like to contribute anything, good or bad, to a (brief) analysis of how the show went, or any recommendations for next year’s Committee, or indeed just hear about the Society’s finances, come along to Committee Room 1, QMU. Then we’ll go to the pub, so feel free to just go there as well.
Friday 25th – Sunday 27th March: Weekend Away!
The annual Cecilian Weekend Away will be at the Gulabin Lodge in Perthshire. Bus departs from outside the GUU at 5.30pm on the Friday. Cost is just £40 for transport, accommodation and food for the weekend, so get in touch with Ronan (social@ceciliansociety.co.uk) to get you place now – it’s first come first served and there are a limited number of spaces. BYOB and get ready for some Organised Fun! You should be this excited:
Saturday 7th May: Dinner Dance
The jewel in the crown of the Cecilian social calendar is a formal dinner and ceilidh, this year with some exciting themed decoration! Contact Faith (themeteam@ceciliansociety.co.uk) if you’d like to help with the design. Tickets are hopefully going to be less than £30, so remember to save the money and the date.
The AGM will provisionally be held on the Thursday following the Dinner Dance – this is where we report on the past year and elect the new Committee, and it’s really important we have as many of you there as possible, so please keep this date free too. Official announcement to follow!
